World of warcraft where to get wool cloth
Below we walk you through the best places to find every type of cloth used in classic WoW. Did You Know? All Humanoid Type enemies will drop cloth, the type of cloth they drop will depend on their level. Linen Cloth Farming Locations.
If you cannot do dungeons we listed locations where you can solo farm this cloth depending on your faction. Need some help find dungeons? If you find a wild mob that drops wool, just continue killing them until the desired mount is attained. When you are in a group in an instance all the loot is shared. So if you dont have a higher leveled friend Comment by This seems to be a very popular cloth. It always seem to run in short supply thus making it almost as expensive as Silk Cloth when stacks are available at the AH on my server.
Comment by jerry i think the pig guys in south barrens are the best place for straight wool. He was a lvl 14 mob. Comment by Thottbot Bael Modan, southern Barrens.
Comment by Thottbot In my experience, it seems that the most productive place to farm wool is DM.. If i do a solo run through there i usually leave with stacks of the stuff.. Hope this helps :. Basically what happens is, when you get the quest, a bunch of Kolkar Centaurs attack the place. There are a bunch of horde defenders that start attacking the centaurs. Just help the defenders and loot the bodies, but make sure not to grab the flag that the quest is after it's pretty obvious After a little while, the Kolkar will retreat.
Then just go back up to the quest giver and ask him where they are and they'll attack again. The drop rate's not that great, but the sheer number of them, and the fact that you have help from the 'horde defenders' who keep coming back even if they're killed dozens of times makes up for that. I got 30 linen cloths and 15 wool in about 10 minutes.
If you appreciate this comment, feel free to donate wool cloth to Zath on the Llane server. Have fun! Hope this helps. Comment by Thottbot best place is definately thistlefurs in ashenvale. Hope this help :. I made this Wool Cloth Farming guide to help out players who want to farm the cloths instead of buying them from the Auction House.
I decided to search for places with high density of mobs which I can kill and drop [Wool Cloth]. I traveled around Azeroth, and after a while I made a list of places.
You will notice that you get a lot of Linen Cloth too while farming, this does not mean that these places are bad for farming Wool Cloth, usually every mob drop both Linen and Wool Cloth. I labeled the sections as Horde or Alliance, but this does not mean anything. I've made about g this week just farming gold from the Stockades. Not to mention the 's I've made from vendor trash and greens.
Gotta love it. I've been playing this game for nearly 2 years and I've yet to find an easier way to make so much gold. Comment by SFK on my priest at 85 - First run - 12 minutes 23 x linen cloth 79 x wool cloth 10 x silk cloth Second run - 9 minutes 12 x linen cloth 90 x wool cloth 3 x silk cloth.
Comment by Stormwind Stockades and Ragefire Chasim both these instances or any other low instances will drop loads! I done 1 run in SWS and got 4 stacks thats 80 wool cloths. Comment by bonzai10 2 SFK runs and got Wool cloth. Get someone to loot mobs for you and just storm trough it. Comment by rbuffetta Using a high level toon these are also great places to run for boe's for yourself and the ah.
Every place suggested here yielded stacks of the cloth mentioned. Comment by TikTokk Awesome spot for wool. Thank you! Just a side note.. The exact coordinates of this spot are I just stood there and flamestriked as they spawned and I couldn't even loot fast enough and I didn't have to move at all. About wool and linen in 15 minutes. Comment by vusys I tried this and found it to be pretty bad.
The nelfs are bowmen, I was DoTing them. Instead of running to me and dropping dead at my feet they stand there and fire arrows at me until they die, I had to run to each to loot them. The treants are a nuisance, they're massive and take ages to despawn after they die. They cover up the dead nelfs making them hard to loot. Worst of all, I got 5 drops of wool cloth in the 5 minutes I was there.
Comment by Fene88 Stockades is still a viable place to go for Wool Cloth if you're Alliance and don't need that much.. I cleared the Human and Gnoll sections of it in under 5 minutes on my 85 mage and got 74 Wool Cloth and plenty of greens, just needed a little more for my Alts first aid so i'm happy :D. Comment by SFK is by far the best place I tired. In one run, took about 20 mins for a full clear as a 85 spriest I picked up: 82 Wool cloth 58 Linen Cloth 8 Silk cloth 14 Green 5 Blues 8 Gems Plus a bunch of vendor trash, my bags were full mind you I have 3 frostweave and one Embersilk bag :D Not bad considering it only took a short time to run it.
I would suggest this place is your high enough to run it by your self or have a friend run you through it a couple of times! Hundreds of ghouls in a very short distance in small rooms good for mobbing up. Don't kill the elite guy or they all die for a short time. Better than running through a long dungeon, IMO.
Comment by owen I have been doing mobs in Duskwood today for wool, and its going pretty well. Vul'Gol has yielded a couple of stacks, but I get better drop rate from the werewolves over near Darkshire. Blues 4 B. Comment by donnima Best place is in Hillsbrad foothills in west of Ruins of southshore. Comment by hi all, i'm new to WoW and am currently residing in orgrimmar as a 17 goblin mage.
The entrance being at ish. These are my results after 30minutes of farming, myself being a lvl 81 Blood DK, and my helper a lvl 44 Holy Priest.
He is the one that needed the wool for tailoring so he picked up as I killed. Now remember this is only killing the ghouls Rotted Ones. Insane respawn time. Remember do not kill Morbent Fel or it will despawn all the ghouls and you will have to wait. Happy farming. Comment by bbbrasil Redridge Mountains, Stonewatch falls.
Come with empty bags but hearthstone. They respawn at a time when the last is killed. Position yourself in the middle and 2-shot them, so they'll come to you. Important: kill the 6th asap, it patrols away and there's no respawn until you kill it. Comment by I ran the stockcades.
It went by pretty quick. Comment by martanius I cleared SFK one time at patch 4. I've found that the best place to do it is at This is right north of Magistrate Burnside, on the road, near the gate leading out. A total of 4 Risen Hillsbrad Farmers spawn here. What makes this place awesome is that they have instant respawn.
If you were to AoE, you could get a bunch of dead mobs in very little time. I wasnt paying attention to how much i gathered when i found this gem, but it's enough. Comment by mnevis If you're here because you're leveling Tailoring and Wool Cloth is 10x as expensive as Linen Cloth, a tip for you: You can bypass almost all the Wool Cloth section of Tailoring.
Green Linen Shirt is a great tool to bypass part of the Wool stage. It stays yellow till , and you just might even make some gold selling the shirts. Comment by Gerar Wetlands 67, One of those delightful endless respawn spots. Lay down some AE and both sides endlessly charge into your pile of corpses. Eventually I had to turn pet on them otherwise I would never stop looting. Neutral vendor not too far away at 50, 37 for selling your greys.
It now takes 60 sec for each spawn point to reset. I was able to fly to each point, AOE, and Auto loot each spot in about sec total. So I went with my 85 hunter to Darkshore, to the Raven Hill catacombs, and spent a half-hour farming linen, wool, and silk there. In my case I used explosive trap. I kept my pet on passive, cos any mobs my pet killed gave no loot. I got her enough cloth to level to the silk level in tailoring, and to the heavy wool level in first aid. The AH prices are completely out of control.
PPL please don't pay that - don't encourage them. Comment by borlafu Satyrnaar , located in northeastern Ashenvale , northeast of Splintertree Post and southwest of Forest Song, is a good place for farming Wool Cloth as Horde.
The best part is that it is less than 1 minute away from Orgrimmar. The satyrs there are around hp, respawn pretty quickly and have a nice drop chance. Comment by For alliance I would say one of the best places is the stockades I just got 55 wool, 19 linen, and 12 silk from one run which on my lvl 45 hunter took about minutes only killing the humanoids and not doing the elemental side. On top of that I had a few greens for the bracket. Comment by Baldain68 Morbent Fel Catacombs is insane for cloth gathering.
I am a hunter and used Multi-Shot and the mobs kept dropping cloth, and they continually re-spawn. You can try.. Comment by Got wool cloth, linen and 27 silk cloth in roughly 35 min from farming where tbirdrider suggested. Great place for a hunter. Place exposive trap on the road while launching an Ice Trap where other mobs are standing making them run towards you. Loot the dead mobs while explosive trap takes care of the other ones, no need to use multi shot.
With SFK you can pull everything to the bridge then kill them, jump off, and you'll be back at the beginning and can reset the instance as opposed to going to the very end of the instance then walking all the way back.
Stocks is also 2. Good luck. I just needed enough to go from to in first aid and it took painfully long to get enough wool to make those heavy wool bandages. All the while, these same mobs dropped substantially more silk cloth and linen cloth than wool. Having the same mobs of the same level drop more cloth that is both above and below the cloth you are looking for tells you how fouled up the wool cloth droprates are in this game. Comment by Maleficium Hit Netheander stead in Hillsbrad.
Circle around killing all the mudsnout gnolls and they will drop wool, silk, and a few linen. They are a constant spawn so you can get done quick. Just did a SFK run. I'm going to do it some more times to get a better look of it. This is if you're Horde of course. Comment by if u have an 85 dosn't matter horde or alliance i would hit deadmines good for green low level item's which for some stupid reason sell for way to much in ah and linen and wool so win win either way i ran thr 3x and got a decent amount on a 85 troll druid just thought might help some :.
Comment by best place I found is the stockades in stormwind. Just clear the humans and the gnolls, don't bother with the elementals.
I run my main through there ad get stacks wool and linen a run. Along with healing potions lvl The infected sludge workers there drop wool cloth fairly frequently 2 at a time , and also drop linen in 2's and 3's. The respawn rate on these guys is fantastic. I basically just spent time in one field, and once I had cleared one end, the other end had respawned.
After about 30 min or so, I didn't time , I walked away with 3 stacks of linen, and a little over 3 stacks for wool. This, in my opinion, is one of the better places for Horde people that can't solo all the aforementioned dungeons.
Good luck! I can do a full clear of both in under 10 minutes including looting. In deadmines, you can skip all the mobs until the pirate ship if you want to, they have the highest drop rate for the cloth and on top of that, you can mount up and pull the whole boat at once. Not saying that the other mobs don't drop wool though. In stockades, skip the elemental wing, all they drop for the most part is trash and occasional greens. Hope this helped.
Comment by kirby40 the best place for woll is the SW dgn First run: 30 linen cloth about 95 wool cloth couple of greens that I DE and 4 silk cloth Second run: 79 wool cloth 34 linen cloth 1 silk cloth 5 greens 5 or 6 blues and Prospector Axe which i will AH I have both tailoring and enchanting. I could not use the silk yet just the wool and the linen cloth.
